Erie Wedding Photography at the Masonic Temple | Colleen & Randy

I was so lucky to be able to photograph a wedding near my hometown and with a guest list full of beautiful, kind and familiar faces.  Some people have commented that would be difficult as a photographer, but I have worked with quite a few family and friends in a more professional manner (opposed to just doing a favor) and I really see no obstacles or awkwardness at all.  In fact, since I connect with them in other ways than just as their photographer, I see different “angles” that I might otherwise not  realize are there or know to capture.  It relates to what I mean when I talk about how an engagment session is very helpful in preparation for the wedding day.  It won’t replace years of childhood friendship as in this case, but it will certainly give me a glimpse into how a couple interacts, and who they are…so I can capture that much more depth during the craziness of a wedding day.

Colleen is just beautiful inside and out.  She is one of my dear high school friends.  Although we hadn’t kept in touch over the recent years, her presence was very familiar to me.  It was easy to understand her relationship with Randy, as soon as I saw them interacting.  He was fun, warm and super easy-going…did I mention FUN!?  Thank you so much for having us be part of your day, Colleen & Randy!  We so loved being there.
